Pérez studied fashion illustration and design at the Fashion Institute of Technology and liberal arts at the New School for General Studies in New York City. She has held editorial positions at VogueGlamour, Lucky, and PopSugar's acclaimed fashion news site Fashionologie. Prior to that, she traveled full-time as a model, traveling from Tokyo to Paris to Milan and many places in between.

Originally from the magical Great Lakes region of the Midwest, she's rarely met a plane ticket she didn't like.

Today she splits her time between Los Angeles, New York, and elsewhere.
